Contraindications:
Diabetes, Alopecia, Birthmarks and port wine stains, high blood pressure, kidney disease, heart conditions, breast feeding, hepatitis, skin disorders, cancer, keloid scars, thyroid problems, active cold sores, severe asthma, rosacea, psoriasis, Roaccutane treatment in the last 6 months, vitiligo, recent sunburn, eczema, dermatitis, fragile skin, liver disease, allergy to anaesthetic, epilepsy, Hiv/Aids, Haemophilia, pregnancy, lupus, herpes simplex, skin type V-V1(risk of hyperpigmentation, scars.
Pre-Treatment advice:
No waxing, electrolysis, or laser treatments on the treatment area 72 hours before peel application. No tanning, waxing or face laser treatments for 48 hours before or after chemical peels. If Botox procedure was done, a new treatment can be performed after 14 days, and in the case of fillers 4 weeks.
Aftercare advice for Chemical Peels:
Avoid make up for 24 hours after the treatment.
Apply a cold compress or aloe vera gel if erythema or any unusual tingling is experienced.
Avoid extreme sun exposure and heat treatments, wear full spectrum sunblock daily.
Repeat treatment every 4 weeks.
